The Olympic Peninsula is a beautiful place, surrounded by remote river valleys, snow capped mountains, victorian seaport towns, logging communities but in all this some services are not easily found.
Briefly about myself. I grew up in Port Angeles and aside from living in Olympia for just a few years I have always lived and played on the Olympic Peninsula. I spent my youth hunting and fishing with my father out in what is often refered to as the "west end". Then I spent about 20 years training on the roads and trails of the peninsula pursuing a lifestyle of racing both road and mountain bikes, triathalons and of course hiking and climbing. I now enjoy the offerings of the peninsula with my wife and 2 sons.
Back in 1997 I bought my first domain for internet commerce. Getting someone locally to be able to build a high quality web site locally was a shot in the dark. After 2 different designers it became clear if I where going to get the results I wanted I would need to learn myself.
Then came the search engines and understanding them to get some ranking position. After spending the winter of 2000 learning exactly how SEO (search engine optimization) works the what not to do's and what to do's I was able to get one of my new sites to the top 10 in Google searches in 3 months.
